Title: SFS_EMPTY: Bad Request OR EMPTY TRUE error?
Post by: Gryzor on 12:29, 24 January 12
Hello guys,

Could you tell me if you're encountering an error upon login, "SFS_EMPTY: Bad Request OR EMPTY TRUE" - and slow performance?

Cheers

Hi mate,
I'm away from home on holiday and am logging in regularly via my phone & laptop.
I have not experienced this...all good for me.

Cheers,
Shane

Hi There

I get this error, but only after login... and slows down...

I had that error appearing at the top of every page when I was making changes to the Wiki yesterday. And yes, it was extremely slow too.

Bryce.

Wait, are we talking wiki or forum?? Very weird, I can't find anything on the error and I haven't encountered it...

I got that message when I was accessing the wiki, it was unbearably slow, but the forum is fine.

Right, confirmed; will do some php debugging...

Ok, I think I've narrowed it down.

I think SFS stands for StopForumSpam, which is a db with known spammers. This db is queried on various circumstances (registration, edits etc), and probably something fails there.
The problem is, although I've gone through every possible solution and disabled any relevant setting or extension, the problem is still there. Damn. I'm at my wit's end...

I've forwarded the Wikis I.P. address to www.we_send_loads_of_spam.ru (http://www.we_send_loads_of_spam.ru), www.spammachine.cn (http://www.spammachine.cn) and www.inbox-filler.ua (http://www.inbox-filler.ua) . That should fill up the Spam Database in no time :)

Your welcome,

Bryce.

Lol :)

Well, if they can find what is "empty" they're welcome to fill it (ahem).

...fixed. I had forgotten to go live with a change I made, so the fix was sitting there but was not active.

After 3 hours or so... FML.
