In June, 2006....

...after testing different solutions for a couple of days, that was the first edit I did on this wiki.
The idea, back then, was to build on the old official c.s.a.8 newsgroup FAQ and complement the long now defunct CPCZone. How on earth could I imagine that those hesitant first steps would lead to this...
So many people have contributed over the years - some have moved on, some have taken their place and still others have stayed here from the very beginning. Every time I realise the scope of what this project has become I'm simply surprised.
We'll talk about the forum some other time; this is about the wiki itself, and all the knowledge and effort so many people have thrown into it. For all that, I'm so grateful, and so proud - of doing something for the scene and offering a place for people to come together and create something.
So, thanks guys and gals. Thanks for helping me in what has evolved into an important aspect of my life - and starter of countless discussions.
Oh, and here's the first edit in the homepage's history: CPCWiki - THE Amstrad CPC encyclopedia! (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php?title=Main_Page&oldid=1366) :)

Happy 10 years birthday cpcwiki !!! :o 8) :-*
Happy birthday CPCWiki! :)
And thank you Gryzor for all the time you have spent on what has become an incredible resource for the CPC.
I only joined in Oct 2009, so it took me 3.5 years to find it? ::)
Bryce.
Yes it did :)
You know, for a long time I used to visit a couple of random pages on the wiki every morning as part of my coffee routine... I should probably reinstate that :)
Time flies! I knew about the wiki in 2007 and I was using it in a regular basis since then. However, I must confess that I was a lurker in the forum for the longest time :-[
As I said, we'll talk about the forum another time :)
Oh, I forgot to mention that another thing that amazes me is how many people visit the wiki. I look at the stats every now and then and it never fails to impress me...

I'd say you'll have to wait til the 24th of November 2016. Scratch that and make it the 21st of November 2016! ::)
21 or 24? Make up your mind! :D

Yep I found your test post from the 21st. It was posted at 11pm, Eastern Australian Time, which is about 10 Hours ahead of London at that time of year, so late night party waiting for that post, if you plan on getting that post close to the time of the original post!
Well yeah, but 21st vs 24th is not an issue of time difference!

That was simply a matter of me misreading when the 1st posts were made & correcting myself :D
