That's from my office PC - latest blacklist update, I guess. Funny thing is, they haven't blacklisted the whole domain - I just encountered the block with some threads. Weird...

Really these blocks not make sense.

Thats remeber me, when here in the country  someone blocked the typicall copyright infringement page. And all go to celebrate. Oh is blocked nobody can access! !.

When the reallity is they are the only cannot access. Today the children born with the tecnology. And www.proxy.org (http://www.proxy.org)

But they are happy in therir world.

Inception!

Well, I see what you mean, but typically in an office you can't really do what you want - proxies are blocked by default anyhow, and you're not the machine's admin.

At my office I need to use a VPN to spoof my country of origin for work purposes, so I can get around any blocks, but I'm the only one...

The funny thing is why it thinks that the CPCWiki or some subforums belong to the "Games" category...

I used to know a forum who ran a 'shadow' domain which mirrored the main site and was only given out to members who had problems with blocks at work.

Ooh that's a nice trick!!! You could do it on the same server, too, I wonder if it could be done with hardlinks or something...

Really? So it'll block even an article on eBay, say?

The company that I work for has an internal intranet plus a public web site. All networked PCs are connected to the internal intranet. The funny thing is, some sections of the public web site are blocked from the company computers  .
It's not so funny when companies that we provide services to have parts of their web sites blocked  >:( .

We can get eBay, but nearly any site that has any kind of "games" content gets blocked  :( .

In an office people are supposed to work.  ;D  But who can stop you on your own PC?  ;D ;D ;) :)

Ah, heh, this reminded me of when I used to work for an electronics giant; they were making, among other things, mp3 players (those were the days...) and of course the firewall blocked everything having to do with mp3, because obviously you were trying to download music illegally, not like, say, see your product pages or download your own software.

I worked for a company that wanted me to set up a facebook page for the project I was working on.
I think you know where this is going with the firewall.
