Is anyone missing their PM email notifications? I got a report from a user that they have stopped, but I keep getting mine...

Thanks.

Axelay

I didnt receive an email for either of the two PMs I got yesterday.  I dont know if I just happened to login before they might otherwise have been sent though.

Gryzor

No, emails are sent automatically, the moment the PMs are sent. You do get other emails I take it?

Carnivius

working for me. I got two yesterday.

Hah, yes.

mr_lou

Stopped working for me too. I noticed because I keep getting Tapatalk notifications, but no more e-mails all the sudden.
Do you need music for your Amstrad CPC game project?
Take a look at IndieGameMusic.com - that's where I put my tracks.

Carnivius

I just got another now so still working for me :)

Oh, seems to be working now, got an email for my last PM.  So whatever you did, thanks!  :)

mr_lou

Yes, seems to be working again now.  :)

I bypassed a PHP setting that defined how email is sent and did it manually. Though it shouldn't have presented a problem: it worked fine up to now and I can see no errors whatsoever in any log. So I'll keep an eye on it, please do report if the problem appears again!

Carnivius

How did I get email notifications if other people didn't?  I don't quite understand.

Me neither! As I said, there were no errors and the mail queue, both the forum's and the server's, were empty...

Ok, I did only cross read this post, but I saw that the CPCWiki messaging in now in the global spam list of gmx. Just to inform you about this, so maybe something must be changed. Here is what I got ...

Thanks for pointing this out; it's awful.

I did a little searching, it would seem that gmx arbitrarily adds servers to its black list and there's no good way to get removed... I'm at a loss as to what to do :(

TFM

Yes, it's sad - and a shame for gmx.

I'm not sure if this might be a solution: If I'm in GMX' web interface I can mark spam mails individually as no spam. It might just be that the button has not just the purpose of moving it to the inbox, but also that the spam filter will reconfigure its filter to reflect your personal choices.
OTOH, it might be just a stupid filter system and I'm talking BS.

Mav, GMX probably does use some sort of adaptive learning from users' actions. So maybe someone marked one of the very few emails we send out as Spam (can't imagine why, but what can you do) and the system picked it up. Which would make it seriously stupid and sensitive.

Other than that, I'm not 100% sure what would put one on the spam lists, apart from the obvious (like running an open relay server, which we are not of course).
