Hello,

I have downloaded the file "peintures face a.dsk", but I have encountered read fails et no directory.
Is it only for me ? Possible to reupload it ?

BTW is there a "peintures face b.dsk" ?

Thanks in advance. 🙏

Nice prod! Very Frenchy, very CPC, very previous-centuries.

Excellent graphics in the "overscan but no interlace or switching" category!

How were the graphics prepared?

* Magical software?
* Semi-magical software with a strong dose of parameters hand-tuning?
* Some manual retouching?
* Programmed using a butterfly by a real Programmer (https://xkcd.com/378/)?

Thanks for reupload.
But same problem for me : the dsk isn't readable (tried on a emulator, not a real CPC).

Hi! Got exactly the same file from both locations (Google Drive and files.fm). Here's the sha256:

47b7d6d3021c8274333d345767bb603f40e187eb58c1ac6230990a28ae719dc5  peintures face a.dsk
And same result as @poulette73 .

Why not simply attach the file to the CPCWiki forum post?

Well, same exact content again.

Tested with cpcec, caprice32, RetroVirtualMachine, same result "Drive A: read fail".

I see the file is bigger than normal.
Is it some non-standard layout? Is a specific ROM needed?

> Is it some non-standard layout? Is a specific ROM needed?

I mean: I see the video shows a machine equiped with ParaDOS. Not every real CPC has this.

Not every CPC owner has modern frankendevices. I run prods on some of my 3 real CPC, all hardware from the era, transferred via audio cable or cassette-jack adapter.

If that disk actually needs this ROM to run, it would be best to have a "regular" build of the prod with a standard layout.

This is not a criticism of the prod! The prod is great!  ;)

The disk image is formatted with 80 tracks instead of 40 and 10 sectors per track instead of the regular 9 in order to get 400KB disk space instead of the usual 180KB.

@cpcitor : Yes you found it, that's right. 👍

With the Parados rom, the disk is read correctly.
It's a PARADOS 80 type formatting for about 400 Kb.
