Sorry for the delayed reply, John Elliott wrote Joyce, you can find a page for it here ->

http://www.seasip.info/Unix/Joyce/index.html

though in the FAQ it asks "Where can I find the Boot Discs?" the answer to that is their copyrighted!  ???

The OP question implies that that they HAVE the game to load?

In which case, you need some means of accessing the 3" disk, and transferring the contents to a PC to load into Joyce, or a way to convert the 3" disk into a .DSK disk image file, which again requires the means to read a 3" disk.   You can attach a 3" drive to a PC, there is info on the web to do this.

If you do NOT have the means to do this, or you do NOT have the game, then you'll need to search for an existing .DSK image file.   There are such available.   Many of the original publishers are no longer active, so the copyright issue may now be academic.   The problem for John Elliott and the system software is that Locomotive were involved in all the system stuff, and a successor to that company are still active, although regarding other things, but they MIGHT still take an interest in their copyright.   However, .DSK images are to be found via the web.
