Hi,
has anyone managed to get MAME (0.276) running with a emulated Symbiface II and BonnyDOS? I struggle to set it up, maybe because I do something wrong (the most likely case) or it's not supposed to work.
What I've done:
1. Create a 20 MB IDE file with:
[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]chdman createhd -c none -chs 615,4,17 -o ide.hd[/font]
2. Run MAME with the following configuration:

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]-resolution0 1120x840 \[/font]

3. Use the System disc B side tool "disc" to partition the drive. Here the trouble starts: I'm able to partition the drive (one partition with maximum size) and save it. Everything seems fine, except for when reading back the configuration from the drive, the partition table is empty. Also just saving, rebooting and running "drvtest" shows "No drive".
Any clues?

Very nice! I used BonnyDOS with the xmass expansion (4x32MB), it worked fine.
Unfortunately, the partitions wasn't readable from SymbOS, only from the BASIC.
Do you know if MAME supports X-Mass? I did not see it in the list of available slots (-listslots)

It's compatible with the Symbiface II mass storage, both with BonnyDOS IDE drives.
So, I can imagine it might be easy to get its own slot by duplicating the MAME code.
