PD version of Tetris for up to four players using two CPC's
A couple of questions:
1. Has anyone here ever played the 4 player option using 2 CPC's? - And if so was it any good?
2. I assume that the software was Run on one machine with the second machine being used as some kind of dumb terminal?

Not emulated - original hardware and software.
Please note that the aspect ratio for this YouTube video is 16:9 but the CPC monitor
has an aspect ratio of 4:3 so you may wish to adjust your viewing device accordingly.
I would presume both CPCs have to run the game, and only state updates sent between them.
When you select multiplayer, there will be some sync process between the two CPCs before it can start - hence you can't play in 4 player mode when you select it.
This might be interesting for that other thread about networked games.
This was a bonus game in german mag CPCAI 4/5 91 where Andreas also presented the connection itself including some RSX-commands for file transfer, disk transfer, picture transfer and chat. Also included was a little tron game.
I've attached the article (german of course) and the databox (with all the software from this issue).

Absolutely! We played it on 2 connected CPCs, two players sharing one CPC keyboard and monitor.
It was great fun and worked really well. Oh, memories believed to be long lost are returning :)

Nope, each machine ran the game - see above.
Thanks for reminding me of this great game!
Oh wow, this "network" is amazingly simple and elegant.
I had no idea that existed.
Is there any support in emulators? Maybe even over the internet?
Later on the WizCats released the VN96 network (same technology) with a lot of software. Even dungeon games and stuff like that. I remember that we played it either at the 10 years SCUG meeting of the FutureOS release meeting (IIRC it was the latter).
I find that there's lots of good Tetris clones on the CPC, but sadly all the good one's I've played don't feature in-game music
