A few that impressed me are...
Monty on the Run- I adore this track ,(is it cut down version on CPC?)
Thundercats-
Elevator Action- Short but great.
Glider Rider- The best reason to play the game.
Wec le Mans
Xyphoe's Fantasy, all musics are amazing !
Batman the movie , in particular the cathedral stage
Golden axe's intro : it's the ringtone on my phone ;D
I always liked the menu music for JumpJet...gotta play it in stereo though for best effect.
Also the Gyroscope music always stuck in my head.
Cheers,
Shane
Yeah that Gyroscope is interesting and Jump Jet is a real surprise for its age, really nice effect.
Let us not forget Vindicator
especially level 3 music
and ofcourse Saboteur II
which i use as ringtone ;)
Saboteur 2 - Amstrad CPC (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRs9ys2RLug#)
Sab2 is pretty cool , Vindicator has some great music, It is also a massive, impressive game. A lot of effort went into that by the looks of it .
Saboteur II and Glider Rider are great!
And I particularly like the music of Dragon's Lair II. The one level where you sit in the barrel and paddle through the caves is brilliant.
Also, Mission Omega has a very catchy tune.
NINJA WARRIORS
PLATOON
ALTERED BEAST
GOLDEN AXE
VICTORY ROAD
I see 2 categories...
Games with an outstanding theme :
- Antiriad
- Aurevoir Monty
- Crafton & Xunk
- Cybernoid 1/2
- Deliverance
- Double Dragon II
- Dragon Ninja
- Le passager du temps (sound like SRAM)
- Saboteur 2
- Zynaps
And games with great in-game tunes too :
- Les passagers du vent
- Orion Prime
- R-Type (128k)
- Renegade
- Rygar
- Shinobi
- TMHT (not released)
Unfortunately, Gryzor and 1943 only get one short repetitive in-game tune.
How could I forget--- Get Dexter -Superb!
I should add to your list:
Auf Wiedersehen Monty
Barbarian
Le 5eme Axe
Prohibition
IK+, Zub, operation Wolf and Agent X II were good
13 posts in and not one mention of the Turrican 2 intro music :o for shame ;) lol
@Axelino - retro CPC music is defo the way to go with ringtones, Turrican 2 is my text tone at full blast lol
I don't like the Turrican 2 CPC tune.
I may add it if all tunes exist. But, it's not the case.

Mission Omega is pretty good tune nice beat to it , I have not seen this game before it looks quite interesting on first appearances... It looks possibly like Nether earth???
Well, perhaps a bit obvious to mention Ghost N Goblins & Feud. And i had totally forgotten about the Dragons Lair 2 "down the rapids" music .. and the rest of the game has some really good music as well (like the "run from the boulder" one always got my pulse up). Im pretty sure i dream about the Oh Mummy music sometimes even tho it isnt probably more of a continually looping nightmare.
Some more (might have already been mentioned):
- Antiriad (intro)
- Hero Quest (intro+ingame)
- Ninja Scooter Simulator
- Footballer of the Year
- Death Wish 3
- Thanatos
- Nebulus
- Trantor
This got me to think of the One Man And His Mic podcasts:
http://www.binaryzone.org/podcast/ (http://www.binaryzone.org/podcast/)
Show 7 and 10 has some amstrad tunes in them.

Mission Omega has a top-down perspective on the various rooms (not isometric like Nether Earth), and it's not RTS-like. Basically you have to build robots and send them out (either personally or by programming them) to deactivate four reactors (fighting robots on the way, using switches and the like).
I love Rob hubbard's tunes like Warhawk, thing bounces back and Nemesis the warlock 8)
Shinobi, Dragon Ninja, Xenon, Super Monaco GP, Pacland, MetroCross, Trailblazer and Boy Racer I seem to remember were good...
Trolly wally has a lovely rendition of a classic tune! Not a good game tho...
Golden Axe was a great suggestion for a ringtone, thanks.
I ripped it, removed the intro, saved a segment enough to create a nice loop, amplified it and bass-boosted it. It's now my ringtone as well :)

Thanks gryzor, I enjoyed that... shame the game on the CPC was poorly implemented :-(
I'll upload a re-edited version, I cut the beginning loop short by half its bars because it kept dragging on...
Two of my personal favourites are Bactron and Captain Blood.
Agent X II and Glider Rider are stand out tunes.
Platoon,Vindicator,Monty on the Run and Cybernoid 2 were all excellent tunes too.
Anarchy has a good tune, as does 1st Division Manager although that would be more at home in a Dizzy game. Switchblade was another quality tune. Both Cybernoids have decent tunes, as does Exolon. And who can forget the awesome track in Oh Mummy. There are more I can't remember off the top of my head, theres loads of decent CPC music.
Get a nice hot drink, sit on your favourite comfy bean-bag and take a deep breath; he comes my list of half-decent to good CPC music games.

P.S. This is in no particular order... ok, it's in Artist alphabetical order!
I can't believe nobody has mentioned Burnin' Rubber, the music in that is awesome. I particularly like the High Score entry tune, although it always cut off just as I was enjoying it, darn it. The title music was pretty cool too, even if the first few notes always make me think I forgot to press F1 quick enough.
AgentXII and Jetset Willy were two of my favourites, but I also liked Sabrewulfs Title Music, which hasn't been mentioned here yet.
Bryce.
Yes, the Jet Set Willy ones, the Goonies, Romantic Robot Wriggler... they are in my mind a lot of times and I surprise me whistling them :)
Yeah JSW rendition of 'The Moonlight Sonata' is something special , I used to love listening to that !

For Bravestarr, Mc SPE is a cracker, not the musician :P
I will add Astro Marine Corps, the music is really great for a CPC (like everything else in the game on our dear CPC :)
I really like "Gunfright" and "Glider Rider" and the loading music of Harvey Headbanger is funny, especially with some beer in my head.
Cheers

I agree; while it's nothing special, it sounds very sweet and the overall effect is really, trully retro!
Deflector-- Another piece that is fantastic!!
1- Robocop
2- L.E.D. Storm
3- Dragon Ninja
4- Tetris
5- Thanatos
6- Bionic Commando
7- Platoon
8- Zynaps
9- Wec Le Mans
10- H.A.T.E.

The list is not necessarily in order of preference.
I love all them equally.

:( Bionic Commando?
But if this game had only FX effects, I wich have the original game, ;D i haven't never felt music.

Yes you are right.
I must be confused with the speccy version then. ::)
But still it's a great tune.
I dream of playing a proper coded version of Bionic commando for the CPC... with different music for each level. I do love the Speccy version, but the Amstrad version is really piss poor, full of bugs :(
Anybody rate the Blues Brothers music?
It is funny his thread just came up again, and yet, nobody said Megablasters.. to me, the best music in a CPC game so far..

for.me megablasters and also the shooter Edge grinder are awesome. jarlac is also amazing
This one was my favorite. I remember I was mesmerized the first time I listened to it. Also one of my favorite games!
For me the best CPC in-game music is from Corsair Trainer.
Some of you may find this a bit exaggerated (and maybe a bit off topic), but my fav CPC game is also the Corsair Trainer. It's so captivating thanks to the music (beside other things)

I did not know it, just downloaded and "Super" Edge grinder..
I'd like to pay homage to Stéphane Luizzi aka Shaan1974 who passed away last month and did a wonderful job on Puzzle Bobble's music.
He was awarded in 2022 with the best music and sfx for an Amstrad game at Xyphoe's Sugars.
RIP my friend... Time code: 1h42
Sorry double post.
