Hello guys! :)
I was wondering what is the best Tetris clone for our Amstrads. My girlfriend is really into Tetris and she asked me yesterday for a decent one to play :D . Power Tetris seems cool, but I do not know if there is a better one.
Thanks! :D
Best Tetris clone? ... ... ... on CPC? ... ... ... Arkanoid!
Power Tetris and Alinka are the best for me..
Tetris 95 is the best :P

My vote goes to
Tetris 95 (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=2567) - although the sound effects during the game are irritating, and as far as I can tell, there is no option to allow them to be switched off.
An honourable mention must also go to Executioner's
KTris (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=4959). It was written in 2003 for a competition to write a game in 1KB of code - and despite this, I still think it's one of the most playable
Tetris clones for the CPC! 8)
Seriously.. .from all the Tetris variants...
CPC-POWER, sauvegarde du patrimoine de l'Amstrad CPC (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=database&lemot=STYLE%20:%20tetris)
IMHO the very best version is this one:
frestris © bollaware (1995) (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=259)
Thank you guys! I will go through all of them :D
Polish Tetris have nice music. Last one on this list. :)

I actually liked Tetris 95 a lot and TetriX, that is adapted to the GX4000 :D. Tetris 95 is cannot be controlled with the pad, as far as I found, but maybe is possible to adapt it :D

I haven't had any luck with Tetris 95 yet, probably one of those games I'll get sorted over time ;D unless @Urusergi (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=923) or @dragon (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=251) can have a look. :D
I also checked out Tetrix, I can find Q A O P and SPACE in winape for the second player, and can change to use Joypad 2, just can't make a cart due to not being able to find it on the disk due to compression.
Need to change;
3A 98 0F CB 5F 28 02 CB C1 CB 6F 28 02 CB C9 3A 94 0F CB 57 28 02 CB D1 3A 93 0F CB 5F 28 02 CB D9 3A 95 0F CB 7F
to
3A 96 0F CB 47 28 02 CB C1 CB 4F 28 02 CB C9 3A 96 0F CB 57 28 02 CB D1 3A 96 0F CB 5F 28 02 CB D9 3A 96 0F CB 67
To make the second joypad work, if someone can sort the compression out, then 2 players will be possible on Tetrix. 8)
If you want two players on a normal cpc, just change the following and save to disk with the multiface two.
98 TO 96 @ 0537
5F TO 47 @ 053A
6F TO 4F @ 0540
94 TO 96 @ 0546
93 TO 96 @ 054F
95 TO 96 @ 0558
7F T0 67 @ 055B
AA118 tribute mag did a tetris round up sort of thing.......
heres a pic from the mag with some scores.... picture not the best quality :(
Alinka for me.
I'd have gone with Tetrix myself, but the controls could be fiddly (sometimes the bricks went too far when you moved them, and too fast all of a sudden)
