I really like Matra editions, problem is delivery cost, I hope he releases more Amstrad stuff and I can order several items at once..
I just tried it.
The game is nice but the keyboard test is frankly not great. Too fast and causes errors when turning parts.
Similarly, it is a pity not to manage the joystick natively. Redefining the keys is an ordeal. It should be tested that the key has been released before redefining the next one!!!
Another downright weak point: the music. Worthy of 85 music. No hard sound, sounds worthy of basic.
For the rest: The gfxs are excellent, the game is interesting, you just have to correct (change) the music and improve the gameplay (this is the most important thing in a game).
Quite enjoyed that. A lil annoying there were no joystick controls already in from what I could see and have to redefine them each time I load, but I enjoyed it.
I think I prefer it over the Mega Drive version of Columns of which it seems inspired by (even in-game music is the same tune).
Just bought it on Itchi and must admit this is a very addictive game.

Great game, well programmed.
All round a great game, playbility, graphics, details like the shining effects of the stones, 2 players and the music is faithful to the original. The only thing to point out would be using joystick from the get go. Apart from that, this game is a treat for CPC users and boy, we are being spoiled lately :)
