I have no disk games in my collection and I'd like at least one! So which game should I buy first?
Orion Prime. :)
Great suggestion! Can you still buy it? I wonder...
Cyber Chicken of course... ::)

mkay, well... I bought an extra copy, for a special case like this..... ;)
Tell me if you're interested.
(Then I just gotta find out where I put it.....)
I bought a 3.5" version and a 3" version. Never used the 3" version. Only opened it to check that all was there.
Of course, Orion Prime is only a great game to have, if you like adventure games.
If you do like adventure games, it's simply a game you have to own. The Bible says so.
Orion Prime if you can find It
Cyber chicken is rip roaring fun, worth every penny
...but OP is still available for download, isn't it?
orion Prime is yes I have it on a 3 and half inch disk
Gunship arrived, red box.. Top quality condition and worked straight away!
Well chuffed

Thanks!

I personally like APB myself, the game caught my attention after AAs review of it stated to stay away from it if you were a Tape Owner. It's also clever because if it detects 128k, the game will load additional Data into those areas. A lot more Disc Loading is done if you have a 64k system. Not sure if the Tape System of it is like that, but I guess it would be good to reward those with 128k which would save a lot of loading. :D

APB had extra 128k features ? no wonder why i loved this game... never played it in 64k.

In 64k format the game pretty much was the same, so I don't think wasn't any compromise on music or anything like that, though that game would work out how much memory you have and use the applicable code. So for a 64k Disc Based System there would be more hold ups while the code is being loaded.
I'm not sure if the same applies for Tape, so if it was tested on a 464 with 128k it might do the same. Multi-load games would have been better in that sense if they worked out how much memory you had and loaded accordingly, in some cases the more memory you have an entire multi-load game could be loaded in :D

He basically called me a liar in response saying I didn't provide any packaging proof and it was bubbled wrapped with reinforced cardboard!
So going through ebay dispute now with photo proof ( Not bubble wrapped or reinforced )
£9 shipping - La Poste - Courrier International Prioritaire
Get a full refund for that, not just for the shipping. The item is clearly severely damaged. Yes I know its rare and you might not come across another for a long time, but why should you pay for something as damaged as that, when it was clearly his incompetence that caused it.

I've only requested partial refund through ebay resolution center, bit stupid of me really but then if the game works I've only paid a tenner!

Looking at the parcel damage, only a big layer of bubble wrap would have protected it. And for sur the protection was not taken seriously.

Quote'Blackmail has negative evaluation is prohibited on Ebay. You do not have the right. And it is also my right to refuse to pay anything for your package arrived damaged due to postal services. I am not responsible. I would pay anything because I'm not wrong. I sent the item in a box protected as you found cardboard. It's not up to me to repay because your crush factor packages that you distribute ... Open a dispute on Paypal or turn it into a claim. '
WOW!
I do not have the right to make a dispute claim?
Ok no more responses from me! I'll let Ebay deal with it

...and they're also responsible for contacting their shipping company to request a refund. In any case, the buyer is the last who should pay.
Actually, in eBay's own words:
Quote
Remember, the seller is responsible for the item until it is in the buyer's possession. eBay protects buyers if items arrive damaged, and sellers should consider insuring their items to protect themselves against damage or loss.
QuoteLooking by all means to get a refund. You receive a crushed by your postal service game and it put me on the back. You try to beg compensation from me and when you see that your combination does not work, you say that the game does not work ... you make me believe that you have not even tested the game before even of have created this dispute? You have tested it and you know it is 100% functional but as you will want more because your posts have damaged the package, you try to use a ploy to turn around the game but Ebay service is not stupid and will appreciate. I repeat: when you receive a parcel in bad condition, you are RIGHT to refuse and report with your factor. Now, you accept the damaged package, then you accept the content. Otherwise, the package is returned to me. Good luck. '

Sellers ARE responsible for goods damaged in transit ! | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/Sellers-ARE-responsible-for-goods-damaged-in-transit-/10000000004413809/g.html)
Wouldn't surprise me if that photo wasn't even of the actual game, and it was always that damaged. There are some dodgy people on this planet who will always try it on. Most people will try to help in these situations but seems like you got the unfortunate minority who wont. I've had to deal with similar in the past.
eBay's TOS is on your side, so don't worry about the idiots bullshit messages. They know they are in the wrong. Make sure you leave negative feedback.

Got the same problem with a jamma board seller. He sent me the package badly done, and as such, i went to a paypal claim.
His package was dishonest, badly done, and as such i got full refund.
Good to know you got your money back !
Of course do leave negative feedback. Your experience was a bad one, service was terrible so you're entitled to it; what's more, it'll be beneficial to other users.
Good to hear your little adventure was resolved in a good way!
@Carnivac (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=50) : wasn't there a feature where you, as a seller, could cancel bids from buyers you don't like?
Can't cancel the bid if the auction is over. Totally messed things up and the potential other bidders may have gone on to buy the same thing elsewhere. There's quite a few time wasters on ebay.
Cheers guys :)
Sorry to hear that Carnivac! Unlike those gimps I pretty much pay as soon as I buy
No, *before* the auction is over; just take a look at their feedback... Of course this can't be done with last-second sniping.
As Neil quoted 'Sellers cannot leave negative or neutral feedback for buyers'. While there may be negative comments the icon and the overall percentage is not affected and it can take ages to search through all the comments of every bidder to look for negative comments. Besides which I did do so after the auction of the winning bidder and he didn't have a single negative comment but it seems he's just being a total asshole to me. You cannot just frickin' change your damn mind after the auction is over. If you don't want the stuff, pay for it and then sell it on again. Dickheads. Am trying to raise money for a car y'see and I don't have time to waste on these fools.
Ah yeas you're right about the feedback thing...
Haven't sold anything in quite a while, seems eBay is dropping the ball?
I don't blame ebay at all really. I blame the untrustworthy morons who make things overly complicated for the rest of us honest folk. If everyone had a sense of decency you wouldn't need rules or annoying security systems and such.
I got a message
QuoteI sent in a cardboard box protected. His position explodes the parcel. SUPER!

What's annoying me the most at the moment is both eBay and PayPal's stupid 45 day limit on disputes and feedback. It's just not enough time when you live in the arse end of the world to determine whether an item is delayed by the post/customs, and by the time you've figured out you're not going to get the item, you can't get a refund, or leave negative feedback.
PayPal I can sort of understand why, and I can go to my credit card provider to get a refund if I'm lucky, but why on Earth does eBay have such a limit on feedback, should be 365 days at least.

I would have thought 14-21 working days was the rule, if you didn't have it in that time then there's a problem?
Indeed; that's why you initiate a claim when the 45 days are almost up and you haven't got it - you always have the chance to close the dispute later if the item arrives.

Hmmm okay. My friends in Qld live an hour from Brisbane in the Noosa area, when they send mail to me it takes 3 days and when I send mail to them 4 days, though I guess going from Suburban Melbourne to a Built-up area near Brisbane things would be quick. Being in a Remote area would make a difference, though I was to understand that 21 days is the promise (Aust. Post?) have to deliver anything from anywhere in Australia?
Generally, I think it's an extra day or two at the most to Westbury (Tas) compared to a capital city like Melbourne or Brisbane. Some things I've bought from China have taken over a month to arrive, and others only a week or so. I eventually got a refund through ANZ for my Acorn Electron which never arrived, even after the PayPal dispute period was well and truly past.
