Cheats preferably infinite lives and walk throughs also what are those blue blocks that have yellow numbers inside them for???

Whoa, looks as unplayable as New Zealand Story. Also looks like it redraws the entire screen for each frame rather than attempt scrolling, because of the number of animated blocks.

If you're software scrolling, you're redrawing the whole screen one way or another, arent you?  ;)
But it does look like speed was perhaps not a priority, the graphics all look to be 4 colour, and I did spot the sprites in Winape stored at 2bpp.

I believe it uses rupture/splitting crtc technique.

I thought it also used hardware scrolling for the top part.

coded by the same man who coded Turrican.

I'm guessing the graphics are converted from c64.

What we have here I would say is a c64 port to cpc.

I gave it a go a while back, but had to give it up due to the chunky movement. Can't play a game like that.

Gimme Theodoro No Sabe Volar instead! Brilliant smooth movement. Just like games were meant to be.  :)

It looked like it was just a single screen all with the default CRTC settings to me when I looked before.  I just ran it again, and out of interest, before starting the game I widened the screen from it's default setting, and that remained even when playing the game, so there doesnt appear to be any CRTC manipulation going on.

r4/r7 probably, maybe r6.

I checked again, you are correct, it doesn't use any tricks. hmmm.. maybe I got confused with another game.

It's all really interesting though!!! Games I have played are all like this one. Ie jerky

I thought all games for cpc were like this or most at least when it comes to platformers

It does say made for c64 somewhere on the cover

Most games for the CPC were indeed like that, for a variety of reasons, including
- developers only got a very limited time to do CPC ports
- limited knowledge about the CPC

The CPC can do a lot of awesomeness, but developers back in the day rarely took advantage of it. Luckily, a lot of newer games for the CPC are taking advantage of the awesomenesses of the CPC. Be sure to check out the newer games made.

I would have written "in the wiki". :D

"At" would be more appropriate in relation to a geographical location, but not neccessarily IN that location, "at the shops", "in the shop".
