Demo/Prologue  for the Redhawk graphic text adventure released in 1986.
The visual element of the gameplay takes the form of a comic strip.

A relatively unknown game, but it's really great and very original. I spend hours on it on our 464, without knowing exactly what to do.
The fact that the game is represented as a comic strip is a unique idea.

sigh

I haven't played this, but is this more of a "clicking" options "Monkey Island" type game rather than a text adventure game?

From Mobygames:
"The game uses a text parser with a vocabulary allowing for actions such as walking, looking around, arresting people, hitting them, using objects, or waiting in a set position for a set amount of time - every action sees time get used up. Standard input methods such as using AND or commas to delimit multiple commands, and leaving out words like THE and SOME are implemented."

But in "look and feel" it certainly straddles the boundaries between game genres.

No, it uses a parser, but it's quite clever and never hinders you from progressing. The game is non-linear (characters move freely), really, it's a fantastic game which should be more known!
