Games for young children?

I'm sure a lot of us have kids today. Have you found any Amstrad games that are fun and well suited for children?


My daughter is 4.5 years old. She might be a bit young to start playing Amstrad games, but I'm open to suggestions for older age ranges as well. It's going to be tough because they'll be competing against her iPad games, but it would be really neat if we found one or two games she would enjoy playing on the Amstrad.

Huum... as a kid (my parents bought me the 6128 when I was 7) I always loved certain arcade games that were not too difficult  . I have fond memories of Game Over (Dinamic), Camelot Warriors (although this one was extremely frustrating in my hands) and some other like Mario Bros or Silkworm (I played these to death with a friend). However, I was a bit older, maybe for a little kid something simple but rewarding like Megaphoenix could be great. I am sure that when she grows up she will love Pang as well

I'd be interested to see how your daughter can handle my game I created last year - Let's GO!
It is based on a mobile game and only requires one button press to play. Either Spacebar or Joystick Fire. It is a 128kb game so hopefully you have that setup or else emulators work fine.

Interestingly enough I also have a 4 1/2 year old daughter and she helped me design some of the levels. I had to touch them up but she gave me a lot of ideas, especially the ladder stage.

Don't know if they would be a little too young at the moment for the maths based programs, but I guess it's always good to get them started with Maths early.

If you have a plus/gx4000 my little guy (just turned 6) is a dab hand at pang!

And if they spend too much time on the computer, try Super Gran. I think I was only bought that back in the day so I wouldn't want to ever use the computer again.
