Title: Ghosts'n'Goblins : Undressed edition
Post by: Jean-Marie on 05:05, 19 February 23
Today, an injustice has been mended, for our reckless knight Arthur can now be seen in his glorious underwears.
Be aware that you are granted 3 seconds of invulnerability after losing your armor.
Since I'm a poor graphic artist, I have joined my Excel tool which will allow you to redesign Arthur as you see fit, within the bounds of decency.
Thank you for your attention.

This is absolutely awesome :-) thank you so much to  that.

I recognized 2 bugs:
- sometimes, when I lose the armor, Artur does not jump and just runs through the Zombie
- it does no longer switch to mode 1 after I lose a life (when it shows level and how many lives are left) and also highscore and menu are un mode 0 now

This is great!!!
You've increased the game's playability immensely.

Yes, I've had some troubles to make him jump when touched. I'll have to look into that.
The graphic bug is surprising, and I've not encountered it on emulators. Are you using a real CPC? If so, you might want to try without any extensions.

I only tried it with the tiny.js javascript emulator. I will five it a try with another emulator. The mode-glitch is not so important anyway as it doesn't harm the game experience.

Excellent work! Do you fancy having a go at fixing one of the other glaring issues with the CPC port... the fact that you can't turn around and shoot behind you while you're in the air?

Bug corrected !
Arthur makes a jump every time he loses his armor. In the previous version, that was a bit erratic.
I'm thankful to Pmeier, whose post (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?msg=187599) helped me to locate the jumping routine.
Also, I forgot to credit Einar Saukas & Urusergi for the ZX0 library, which was pretty helpful.
Here is a poke for invulnerability (for testing purpose only) :

Thank you! No, I had some troubles to have it jumping when losing his armor already. But maybe I'll have a sneak peek though...

Fixed v1.1 CDT image so I can play it on my 464 soon?

I don't use emulators to play games I like :)

I've used the good old Oddjob to convert it, under Caprice64, but for some reason it only creates WAV files, not CDT. There are some tools for converting WAV to CDT I guess, but I'm not a specialist.

Thanks.

I have loaded WAV files into the 464 with VLC on my laptop before so it should be fine.
