Title: Hard Hat Mack, Are there any versions that work on an emulator?
Post by: Puresox on 18:48, 18 January 12
I have tried this numerous times , It loads fine, but when you try to play the game you have no control over things? Any ideas?

Works fine for me...
I use the joystick translation (Numberpad keys, 4,8,6,2 and 5 = fire, num-lock on!)
You can also toggle to Q,A,O,P translation...

Are you using an original copy of Hard Hat Mack ? I have downloaded from CPCpower and Using on WinApe.As soon as it loads it begins and the guy runs directly to the left by itself??

Perhaps a WinApe problem? (Like + features which make control impossible?)

Reminds me on older JavaCPC versions. The games "Death Wish III" and "Prehistorik" controlled by themselves.
Caused by a bug in AY emulation...

Ok found the problem:
This nice game works with CPC 464 ROMs only!!!
When you use 6128 ROMs the joystick control is fu**ed up!!!

So I am sure, the game will also not work on a real CPC 6128!

So , Does this mean I can change the settings on Winape to 464 mode ? Or am I Stuffed? I'll give it a try anyhow.
