Does anyone know if the Hit Squad re-release is any bit different in-game, even if the differences are very small, compared to the initial release?
It is the case with the ZX Spectrum version, where there are quite a few noticeable differences.
What differences are these?

What differences are these?
Title screen, powerup placement in the first level, the destruction sequence of the wall in the first level, how far into the last level that the color palette changes.
So I'm wondering if there are any minor variances in the CPC version's re-releases.
I think the only difference is the loading scheme.
Retail version speedlock v1
Hit Squad version speedlock v6
It would be good to get confirmation on it, just to verify. If anyone has the Hit Squad re-release or know if a disk image of the re-release is available somewhere.

colors?
Regardless, still hoping there's a disk image of the re-release or perhaps someone has a physical copy of it.
EDIT: NVM, found it at cpc-power. This weekend, time for me to analyze the game with a electron microscope. EVERY. SINGLE. DIFFERENCE. SLURP.
I was going to say cpc-power too, but was so obvious that i believed that other people searched there and didn't found it!![emoji1]
I completely forgot about that place and stumbled there by luck. Also, they have the Erbe release as well, which is amazing.
Ok, I need help with the Hit Squad tape file. I tried loading it, but it keeps failing; on WinAPE 20 Alpha 13. I'm loading it like any other CPC game tape file. I need the help of the CPC experts on this.

Yes, because this time it was not a speccy port! So we really got a great game!
:P

Guess an emulator update could be a good idea.
If it keeps failing post it here and we can give it a try. Maybe a bad dump?

I don't know what happened to the quote, I think you accidentally hit microscopic font :P
Yeah, I'm going to try a newer emulator version. Failing that, this is indeed a bad dump of the Hit Squad release. Damnit.
Try CPCE, is the best emulator for play CDTs images.
Ah, works, tested on the latest Winape before having read your CPCE suggestion. At least the dump is not bad.
Good to hear!
Yes, Chrome sometimes changes the font to something like 1 pixel size. :-X
As i remember there more levels on the speccy release.
I Can't find a CDT for Hit Squad Gryzor on CPC Power, so I can't test this.
