just been doing some Easter Holiday reading....

looking through AA issue 6, March 1986.

I found in the cheat mode section they mentioned the weight lifting section of Hyper Sports was impossible and were seeking a cheat for it.

Anyone know if a cheat exists for this ?

Im sure most of us waggled our sticks to death and had to put them in the joystick graveyard after playing this game..........

Puresox

Xyphoe managed to do it , by using the Winape emu slowing the speed down

Difficult, yes. Impossible, no. I managed to do it while playing it under PSPCAP32. I can't remember how I did it, but I did do it.
It's no great shakes though, once you complete all the events, you're just back to the enter name screen, no congrats screen, no harder level, nothing...
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

i didnt think it would be exciting ending or anything once the event was completed.......

just never found it possible myself to complete the weight lifting event no matter how much waggling of the stick.....

Interesting to find that there was info about it AA#6 feeling the same way.....

i saw on CPCPower there were quite a few releases of it in compilation packs maybe its easier in one version compared to others ? im only guessing though......

Not sure of the differences in versions, I think because the PSP controls were almost like keys, it was easier to move it left and right at a rapid rate.
IIRC - there was no keyboard option on the CPC, joystick only.
