Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Hi guys,

Intriguing game this one given it should have been a very high profile release ... obviously must have been delayed being completed as it was released very late into the life of the CPC by US Gold (almost 1993!) seems that very few copies got released in the UK or anywhere else!

I've been wanting to look into this game and do a longplay for a while, but I cannot for the life of me find any English instructions for the 8-bit versions CPC/Speccy/C64 which of course are vastly different to the point-and-click adventure on the 16 bits.

It's a good feeling to know that the only instructions for this I've found on the net so far are on the CPC-Power site but are in French - I've tried to convert the PDF document to English but copying to clipboard produces lots of strange characters that things like Google Translate won't handle.

Does anyone have the English language version at home with instructions?

Or if anyone has played it and knows what to do, what the symbols are and what keys do what - I'd be very appreciative!

Keyboard controls:
Forward - Q
Select items / Use items - Space
Turn Left / scoll inventary - O
Turn Right / scroll inventary - P
Jump - Enter
Turn camera clockwise - E
Turn camera reverse? clockwise - W
Enter mode "Inventary" - A
Pause - H
Resume game - Space
Scroll Inventary - O or P
Change Character - Copy
Leave Item - D


Note:
During the roulette game, use Q and A buttons for the commands Top or Low and use O or P buttons for the commands Left or Right.


That's all I can tell you from those instructions, I never played this game.


From the test in cpc-power:
6 stages - First one you must find Alain Trottier and sell the items and weapons that he'll tell you at the best price possible.
Unfortunately the nazis come and you must flee fast to reach the naval base or after avoid the traps, you will the secret code that will get you to the underwater base.
Point here the combats, but the strategy and reflexion (the crane will prove to be the good way to pass).
After that, the submarine awaits you, with the mortal bombs. Indy must show here his minesweeper skills (you can take the opportunity to avenge of Klaus Kerner).
We reach the end, we can see the archipelago. We need to find the good island (thanks to the advice of the man in the cavern) to reach Atlantis.
The nazis awaits you there, the supernatural creatures and the mechanisms will be your only hope.

Ok I'm back and working on a longplay, and making some headway on the first level.

You have to cheat the rigged casino games, and win tons of money to buy back your shit that was stolen. And other bits and bobs.

I know where I need to go and what to do, apart from ... how to cheat and win on the casino tables! Does anyone have any clue or idea??

Well I really want to see what this whole game looks and plays like, it's a real interesting release given that it's near a MIA status and extremely rare, plus US Gold's last release in 1993 - possibly one of the last commerical releases period on the Amstrad. Plus of course it's INDY!

Well anyway, I managed to bluff my way through the 1st level...
