I've been playing through Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom for a forthcoming video and remembered the final level which could never be completed.
Does anyone know why this final level (after the bridge level) can't be completed or know if it's possible to hack the game to make the final level completable?
Many thanks

How do you mean, I completed plenty of times, like Star Wars, you go back to the start but with the difficulty ramped up each time...

If it's like the arcade version, then the final level (after getting all the statues) is simply endless, with it constantly getting harder until you inevitably die. Kind of a bonus stage for finishing it, I guess?
Not sure on the Amstrad version, I was never all that good at it.
I know you already saw this Patrick, but I'll copy and paste what I wrote in reply in the Amstrad CPC 464 Facebook group post of the same, for the benefit of anyone here on the Wiki forums ...
I did a longplay of it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km2LbQtzS5U (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km2LbQtzS5U&fbclid=IwAR313tNPrh9-MxhaEZaQW-mt_6oQQvEe872uFhncnhObBQmqU5U7SJ7k6MI)
So there's basically 11 levels in total, with level 11 having no end (or exit).
There's 3 levels per 'round' -
You get a mines level (where you rescue caged kids), the mine cart chase level, then Mola Ram's temple level.
The mines level is the only that changes as you move through the 'rounds' with a different map and layout.
Once you've done the 3 rounds (9 levels - collected 3 Sankara stones from the temple) you move onto level 10 - the Bridge level - where you have to cross it, turn around and whip it - essentially you've beaten the game. (Note in the arcade you meet Mola Ram at the end of the bridge and whip him - but that's missing here)
Level 11 is basically what I think they (the coder) tried to do the 'Challenge' round from the coinop where it's another new mines level where you have to surivive as long as possible whipping 'golden statues' (see https://youtu.be/71mkOgkKxdo?t=728 (https://youtu.be/71mkOgkKxdo?t=728&fbclid=IwAR0bw4ueTN9JY_KhpCeqOrD_Sa71nuN49qwFgdT15NJrbZ8TLToisZEel9g) - my arcade longplay) racking up more of a high score. This level does NOT end and there's no exit. Unfortunately the CPC version is missing the golden statues. I would guess that the coder rushed this level in and just used the caged children as place holder, but ran out of time to code in the randomly appearing golden statues - and that's what got put out.
Maybe Tony Warriner (https://www.facebook.com/tonywarriner?fref=gc&dti=5357712057&hc_location=ufi) might remember now? But John Prince was the coder (who was also responsible for Arctic's World Cup Soccer game that US Gold famously used for World Cup Carnival shambles, and he also did Mr Wong's Loopy Laundry, Street Fighter conversion, and others for the CPC).
