Finally bought me one of those scart cables and power supply units for my 464 to connect to my 'spare' HDTV that my Amiga also uses. Man, it's a huge improvement over the old MP-1 modulator ain't it? :)
First I tried Rampage.

Good fun. Photo doesn't do the display justice though.
Tried Dan Dare 3 next and while it was loading I realised this TV has various zoom modes and so I chose one where it ended up fscaling up the height of the main CPC game screen to fit the TV height (with the sides still in view so you can see the loading bars)

I love this game's graphics. All chunky and colourful and lots of sprites! Cheers Dave Perry!

Rick Dangerous 2. Looking lovely as usual on CPC.

I've put my CPC monitor in storage now. I prefer having the much lighter, larger HDTV screen instead. I'm tempted to get one of those scanline generator thingies mentioned in another thread but they a bit expensive for me at moment and I'm happy enough just using this set-up for now. Dunno why I put off buying this cable for so long. I love it.
edit:
RoboCop watches his 8-bit CPC self about to get kicked in the back.

lol indeed I do, here's RoboCop on my gx4000 on a 32" led....
My fave bit about this Scart cable/power supply? The length of the cables! I don't have to have my 464 pressed right up against the monitor anymore (while the monitor cables could stretch a bit, their springyness often pulled their plugs out of my 464). The standard monitor and CPC having to be on the same part of the desk didn't leave much room for much else.
