The TOSEC fileset for the CPC contains a folder of compilation disks, including a series numbered
Compilation Disk 001
Compilation Disk 002

Compilation Disk 305
None of the files offer any clues as to what's on the disks, there's no text file listing the contents and I can't find a website listing them either. Does anyone know what's on them or am I going to have to try all 305 individually?
(By way of example, Disc 002 contains 1943, Commando and Green Beret.)

If there isn't one and you do go through them, please document them😊

You don't have to look at all of them individually. Instead you (or someone else) could write a small script which uses something like iDSK to extract all the filenames from all the discs, then map names to disk-images and finally ask ChatGPT for help, in case the games are not obvious from the filename:
You:
I have a disk image for the Amstrad CPC, containing a couple of files.
If I give you the name of the files, can you guess what games that would be?
ChatGPT:
Sure! I'd be happy to help you identify the games based on the filenames.
Please go ahead and provide the names of the files from the disk image!
You:
Here are 4 names, each of them relates to one game: gorilla.bas, arkano.bin, jetset.bin, fist.bin
ChatGPT:
Based on the file names you provided, here are my guesses for the corresponding games:
gorilla.bas: This likely refers to Gorilla. It could be a BASIC program, possibly a version of Gorillas,
which is a classic game where players throw bananas between buildings. However, on the Amstrad CPC,
it's more likely a small game involving a gorilla, or an educational BASIC demo.
arkano.bin: This is most likely Arkanoid, the classic 1986 arcade game by Taito. It's a Breakout-style game
where the player controls a paddle to bounce a ball and break bricks.
jetset.bin: This seems to correspond to Jet Set Willy, the famous platformer from 1984, where you control
a character named Willy who navigates various rooms in his mansion.
fist.bin: This is almost certainly The Way of the Exploding Fist, a martial arts fighting game released in 1985.
It's one of the early one-on-one fighting games similar to Karate Champ.
Let me know if you'd like further details about any of these games!
Not too bad :)

Of those two options, "someone else" is by far the more likely :D
