Trying to remember the name of one of the first games I played on my 6128 back in 1985. I think it was called Paratrooper.
A plane travelled across the top of the screen. You pressed space to jump and space again to open the chute.
You had to land on a marked area with a flag. The closer the to the flag you got the more points.
The game ran in mode 1 and started up with an instruction screen. Only sound effects were when you jumped, opened the chute and landed. All the graphics were from the CHAR set including your stick man player.
Highly likely to be a CWTA type-in or possibly ACU (but can't see it in ACU as far as I can see).
More than than that I can't remember. Can anyone help me locate it?

The mind boggles where this program came from, CPC-Power doesn't know it's origin and it's not listed under Computing with the Amstrad (http://www.cpc-power.com/cpcarchives/index.php?page=articles&num=123), unless it's the Parachute by Granada PUBLISHING listed of March 1985. I couldn't find any program called that in the Database, so maybe it's that?

That's it. Didn't realise it was a commercial game as I remember BREAKing into it and fiddling with the listing!
Came on a set of 3 floppies from a drinking mate of my Dads when we got our 6128 full of various titles and type-ins all mixed together. Hence why I thought it was a type-in.

Just as I remember you can BREAK into it. And there is no publisher name at all. It's also very very simple.
The game code is 8k of BASIC but there is a 5k .BIN file as well.
So a commercial game or a type in? Not sure!
Good fun for 5 minutes though. Try it!

If it's commercial, would be something along the lines of Cascade's "Cassette 50" or "Disk 50", most of their programs were BASIC, though it had one of those Bomb the City type games with your Helicopter, which was a combination of BASIC & Binary files.
Nothing apart from that Parachute seem to stick out from CWTA, though this program is clearly called Paratrooper, unless it's someone's funny idea of renaming it, though I doubt that since you recall it being called Paratrooper.
I thought maybe it was from out of an early Amstrad BASIC Games Book, there are a few which were published in 1984.
Very few Type-ins made it into the Magazines, the bulk of them actually come from Multi-platform Magazines like "Home Computing Weekly" and "Popular Computing Weekly", both of those obviously were weekly Magazines. "Your Computer" had a couple and that leaves "Personal Computing Today" and "Games Computing". "Games Computing" is a bit of an unknown when it comes to how many Amstrad Programs were in it, because it's a difficult magazine to source (in relation to issues), and shortlived, would reemerge as "Computer Gamer" early '85.
Otherwise it may just be an early bit of PD coding.

Sorry I'm just a little bit confused about what "CPC 464 Computing" is. CPC-Power has a couple of Tapes for these, though screenshots for Issue(s) 1 & 2 mentions a magazine?
Otherwise I'm just presuming it's the original Tapezine commercially produced.
