patchng games using keys and joystick

A number of CPC games use a stick with keys or keys with a stick depending on your point of view.....

such games i have come across are Harrier Attack space for bombs, Renegade space for jump, Frank Bruno's Boxing the version i played you couldn't actually play it with a joystick even though you could select it....

So would it be possible to patch these games so that you're able to use the 2nd fire button to do the jump or to do the bombs etc etc

Presumably the same way they've been remapping controls for the C4CPC versions of regular CPC games.
