I think taking the cpc version of knight lore or nightshade as a starting point would be a good idea.
here's hoping that it could be adapted really quickly.
So are you planning to make a conversion?
If you were I could suggest looking at spectrum version of knight lore and nightshade and comparing the code. then doing same for cpc and then look at pentagram, then you may be able to drop some of the data in and it would work.
:-[ is it possible if you remake this game to have 5 soundFX for foot steps and choose randomly the sound, it can be less boring...
:laugh: I can't convert PENTAGRAM for AMSTRAD, i'm not a coder, i hope wich in the next future a PENTAGRAM for the CPC with 4 colors, can to be marvelous, "putting the option DIRETIONAL CONTROL" for play very well, miss in this game :( .

The "look and feel" of the game is really close to Knight Lore, so it might me possible to release a conversion. Seems strange that Ultimate has not done it in fact...
