The title says it all really, I had progressed pretty far in POP and thought it was about time to have some tea so I pressed CONTROL and G as it says to in a copy of the APPLE II istructions to save the game, it accessed the disc and then returned me back to my current position. Great I thought, Game Saved. But when I fired up the machine and pressed CONTROL -L to load, nothing happened!??? Arrrgh! Help! :o
Hm, yeah, it doesn't seem to work on the version I got... there's also ctrl-A, try experimenting with that?
I guess you're playing it on the real machine, otherwise there's always the emulator's Save option...
Yup it's a real machine, I'm so spoilt now with being able to download every game I ever wanted and play it on my new plus machine! I have tried every key on the keyboard with control, R and A just restart and go back to the title screen, S is Sound on/off, G accesses the disc and puts me back to where I was, as does L! Maybe something has been screwed in the translation from French to English? I know French have a different key layout so maybe that has something to do with it?
I might grab the french version and see if I have any success, just one last thing according to the instructions I have you have to have gotten to level 3 to be able to save your game.
Maybe I will have to try and find a multiface, this CPC business is getting expensive lol!
Maybe the cracked version is damaged indeed... but do try the Level 3 thing, maybe the instructions are correct ;) It's not that difficult IIRC to get there, after all!
