So, the competition has now been covered on indiegames.com, although they've got a few details wrong, not least by saying that there were 8 entries... ;)

Nice, thanks for sharing :)
Hmm. Looks like they didn't actually play the games...
What is that 'Dungeons of Count Roland' they mention?

See here (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Amstrad_CPC_16KBs_ROM_Game_Development_Competition_2013#The_Dungeons_Of_Count_Roland).
The game wasn't finished in time unfortunately.
Ah I see , are these games that didn't make the cut off point, being continued to completion? I presume they will , seems a waste otherwise.

Yes mine will be finished one day.
It's still got a few things that need fixing before I can release it.
I am very eager to see arnoldemu's game! The title alone makes it very intruiging for me.
Then again maybe it's because I watch too much pr0n? :D
rb
I'm still working on my game, it might be ready for the 2014 competition!
Dungeons looks super nice, hope we get to see it in one form or another!
Second that, would really love to see this game finished.
third that. The screenshot is too tempting.. really nice gfx with nice use of mode 1 and mode 0.
please finish it one day !
To the authors...:
Do you plan to publish the sources of your games? :-[
That would be really really helpful to all who would want to write something themselves one day...

I think that is more easy to learn from "beginner" code than optimized routine.
So, no real interest here to give his routines to peoples that don't know how to use them. ;)

I agree completely.
Some of the techniques used are quite complex and it's best if you try them for yourself. It is ok to have examples that show some of these and for documents to explain the techniques, but often it's best to write the technique to understand it fully.
