QuoteThat's right retro heads this is Robocop originally published by Ocean in the 80's, that's now available as a PC remake. But not just any remake but the Amstrad version in HD, with smooth 60fps scrolling and added 2 player co-op mode, developed by Park Productions!

Was just playing this now. Very close to the original - as far as I can see. What this means is the difficulty is cranked up so high I can barely hit the first half of the first level :D Is it like that or am I just crap?
You got old sums it up.
When I played it again 20 years after I last did I couldn't get past the first level and I used to complete this game for fun.
The smooth scrolling is exactly how I remember it from when I first played it years ago. Funny how the mind works

Version 1.1
Originally started this remake of the CPC Robocop in 2009 when it got put on hold until 2015!
The difficulty comes from the speed being too fast compared to the original CPC game the idea was to have it running at 60 fps. We have updated the game now to version 1.1 that runs the game at a more playable speed while still drawing the game at 60fps as well as a lot more fixes and features.
This video shows version 1.1 with the most requested feature (Spectrum mode) and the option to play a mix of CPC and ZX graphics/audio. In Spectrum mode the CPC game remains the same with Spectrum graphics overlaid on top, as the Spectrum has a different level layout to the CPC the ZX levels are all redrawn to match that of the CPC layout. The download now comes with two (CPC and ZX) exe's.

I used to be an ace at this game but I am pretty sure I am not that good anymore. It's the same with the old arcade games, we rigged ourselves a MAME in an arcade cabinet and those shooting games I used to be able to finish on one credit seem impossible to beat now, specially when the screen fills up with enemy fire. How on earth were we able to survive those without cheats!?
