Does anyone have any POKE cheats for Caves of Doom?
There probably were some cheat codes at cpczone back in the day, but I can't find anything elsewhere online.
Try typing P.R.A.C.T.I.C.E into the front page.
Not doing anything for me here....
Well that's the thing, it does take time :D
Oh a smartass, eh? ::)
Caves of Doom is impossible to complete without cheat dude.
I just wanna play through it and see all the screens, see which ones I remember from years back etc.
So anyone else happen to know the POKEs?

Thanks! Will try it out soon.
There were cheats? I thought the only way to finish it was to use the editor, thats what I remember doing.
Except when it broke and you would die when you touched the fuel.
Nope, that poke doesn't seem to be working...

just had a look at Cave of Doom, here are a bunch of pokes for invulnerability (I just played a few screens and didn't go through all the code, so there might be some deadly monsters left).
&2A11 : &C3,&75,&2A
&1FC7 : &00,&00,&00
&1E34 : &C3,&51,&1E
&1A33 : &18
You should find a snapshot of the game already poked attached to this message.
Thanks Grimm!
The snapshot works, but the pokes just resets the game right after it has loaded. Did you paste them correctly?
The pokes work fine but they are MF2-like pokes. If you want to use them in the BASIC loader, you must substract 424 from all the addresses. I've attached a dsk of the game with a modified BASIC loader (Run"Cheat).
Btw, this game looks like crap :)
Thanks alot! :)
Now I know what to play next time we have a retro-evening here. :)

I can see it from your point of view, but since it was one of the first games I ever played on the CPC, it's very nostalgic to me, and each screen takes me back to that cozy past. ;)
In case anyone else feels like playing the cheat version, there's an error in the last poke in the dsk file.
It should be &18 instead of 0.
