Does anyone have (Or know of) a collection of SNA format files?
What would be the point? Where in the course of lading or playing the game would the snapshot he created?
Or am I missing something?

Primarily to launch from Symbos Directly with the SNA Loader. but also to test in my Dandanator - to compare with the DSK -> SNA conversions that happen in the loader tool.
Oh, I'm not saying there are no uses, just wondering why there would be a repo, but now I don't find it that improbable.

I think CPCGamesCD (https://amstrad.es/cpcgamescd/) includes a collection of snapshots, as well as DSK files.

I checked that yesterday. Not any more it seems.
Would it be worth creating a page on the wiki for sna files for use in the dandanator, m4 or symbos perhaps? What do ya think?
Sure, why not? 🙂

In that case I've made a start with the files that I created and tested successfully on my Dandanator yesterday.

Anyone want to help out and fill this wiki page with fun SNA files then by all means help out.

There we go a start has been made, that's 30 new CPC 464 snapshots captured some with title screens and some without as my fingers were not fast enough!
Something for everyone there and plenty of options for SNA loaders on real hardware!
Good! Feel free to include the ones at CPCGamesCD sta folder if they work fine. They were added in 2008 as I see now, I think I tested some of them with BonnyDOS and/or SymbOS SNA loader.
Up to 42 snapshots all tested in a CPC Dandanator Mini with the Compatibility mode turned on when flashing the device.
That's 30 from yesterday, and 12 more added today. I am however away for a couple of days now so will not be able to add any more confirmed tested SNA files until Thursday at the earliest. If I have some time over the coming days I'll continue to make SNA files so hopefully a rush of more new ones for next weekend.
A lot of the additions today have been 128k snapshots (Robocop, Renegade Trilogy, Gryzor, Batman the Movie etc....) so these will obviously ONLY work on a CPC 6128 or 464 with a DK Tronics expansion (Or compatible)
Hope you enjoy these, Let me know if yo have any requests to be converted as these SNA files certainly are more reliable than allowing the Java Application to create the snapshot from a DSK or CDT file.

Ooh thanks man!
I've made a bunch of compressed 64k snapshots so far which I will be getting Craig to test on the Dandanator (I don't have one yet)
Over 100 titles ready to go. I just hope they work. :D

Should I tell him I have about another 100 more for him? ;)
Looking forward to trying these out on my DES!
A quick bump on this one.
First things first, a big thank you to @CraigsBar (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=482) not only for starting this up, but also for loaning me a Dandanator mini so I could test my snapshots on it.
I had created almost 200 snapshots, but a lot of them didn't work right on the M4 so I wasn't really prepared to put more time into it until I could test with a Dandanator.
Out of the batch I created, 167 of the games worked and I've started uploading them.
Some of them are up there already. After The War, Super Hang On, International Karate, Army Moves, Game Over, Auf Wiedersehen Monty, Bounder, 720 Degrees just to name a few.
Plenty more to come, I'll ping another post on here when they're all up though. :)
Enjoy!
Big bumper update to this one, ladies and gents!
A good chunk of the Dizzy games are now uploaded, Some Codies classics, Gremlin Graphics classics, Hewson stuff, some Amsoft stuff and a lot more.
All tested on the CPC Dandanator Mini and working. I know the M4 has problems with some of these, but I'm going to try the updated batch.
I've let @Duke (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1624) know about some of the issues with snapshots on the M4, but I know he's quite busy so that'll happen when it happens.
Enjoy, guys! :)
Last of the big updates got done tonight folks! From S-Z so we got some good stuff in there.
Treasure Island Dizzy and Spellbound Dizzy, W.E.C Le Mans, Willow Pattern Adventure, Super Off Road, Way Of The Exploding Fist, Trailblazer, Solomon's Key and a lot more! :D
Enjoy, guys.
