Title: Space Rescue in Jupiter
Post by: Jean-Marie on 09:52, 01 October 23
A new game by Altanerus Dog:
SPACE RESCUE IN JUPITER by altanerus dog (itch.io) (https://altanerus-dog.itch.io/space-rescue-in-jupiter)

"In the year 2070, the Earth's energy resources are not sufficient for the great demand of a booming overpopulation; new technologies and materials have allowed the extraction of energy in the upper layers of Jupiter's atmosphere. From time to time, accidents occur in the mining-energy complexes that exist around the planet. Your mission is to rescue the miners if necessary. Control the descent of your ship, avoiding clouds of overheated plasma, to land on the platforms and collect the capsules to take them to the space station.
This game has a basic concept, it is made in Basic 1.0 with additions of machine subroutines, it consists of 5 levels and has an ending.
It is available in WAV, CDT and DSK."

The DSK doesn't work on CPC 464, and displays the dreaded Memory full.
I have fixed the BASIC loader.

The idea is good, the playability can be improved. What you do with the controls seems to not affect too much the chances of being impacted by the plasma clouds. The benefits of those machine subroutines are not very obvious in the game.

Anyway, it's good to have new projects!

"Images générées par IA"

Please next time tell the IA there are not mountains in the upper atmosphere of Jupiter and to not put towers in the middle of landing pads.

I think AI is perfect for making authentic-looking 1980s game cover art that doesn't look anything like the game. With a few more prompts you could really lock in on the style. More airbrush!
