best joystick i ever used to play my cpc games with was a star cursor joystick.
they are rare and i was searching for one and found that one sold on ebay for $60 aussie dollars
Star Cursor Joystick With BOX | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Star-Cursor-Joystick-With-Box-/281291779688?nma=true&si=9l3MaAr8XWYvOMIypsnQobivFLc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)
anyone else seen one around ?
i am hoping to get one and covert to usb connection or is that not possible ?
I managed to convert a joystick to usb , I can't recall haw I did it but I did manage it and it worked fine.
The easiest way is to gut a super cheap usb controller, take the usb pad apart, cut the control chip out(while noting the inputs what button goes to what pin on the chip) and rewire it to the inputs of your joystick.
It may be good, but the design... what were they even thinking??
I bought one from eBay some time back after long search but despite seller making a good job with packaging it arrived in pieces, like someone in sorting facility would've played footie with the parcel...
Ugh.... but, if it doesn't survive the trip then it's probably not that well-built. Just saying.

Even a joystick built of bricks and crowbar will arrive damaged if parcel gets abused enough.
