Was an english version of the game "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" ever released for the CPC?
I have only been able to find a French version as a .dsk file.

I'm pretty sure that an English version was never released. Many of Brøderbund's games (e.g.
Karateka,
Lode Runner,
The Ancient Art of War,
Wings of Fury) only ever saw a French release (thanks to Microïds, a French software house who converted their games to the CPC), so I doubt there is an English version of
Carmen Sandiego. The only exception is
Prince of Persia, which was so amazing at the time that it would have been a crime not to release it in the UK. ;D
