I hadn't realised they were responsible for Turnpike. I used that a lot in my early internet days.

The CPC's Locomotive BASIC was a really great BASIC version. Always loved it.

Good stories you always find, Comsoft6128 ! :-)  It's nice to learn interesting facts about things and the people behind these things which we loved 35 years ago but didn't know the details back then.

My younger brother got a C64 and I tried basic on that - after using locomotive for 3 years I absolutely hated it.  I've seen other basics over the years - but nothing ever felt like locomotive for me.
