Dieter Hucke

Hello,
my name is Dieter Hucke, i am new in this forum and dont have a physical CPC for myself. I have found that forum and cpcwiki.eu and i am impressed of how active many people are in working with CPC.

We have a german internet website called 8-Bit-WIKI , it is dedicated to 8 Bit HomeComputers. We have Amstrad CPC already, and the Spectrum +2A / 3, they are labeled Sinclair, but licenced to Amstrad.

I want to ask you to have a look at 8bit-wiki.de, to give me your opinion, what we can do with the CPC there.
When you look at Commodore Section in that website, i simply made links to existing Wikis of Commodore, because it simply was not needed to set up a copy of wonderful existing Wikis, only to have them in "our" 8bit Wiki. We are making slow, but continually progress in new computers, about every three months a new model appear.

I would love to integrate CPC 64/128, but i dont have a german author to set up this computer in 8bit-wiki.de right now.

Now here is my question: What would you suggest to to with CPC in 8bit-wiki.de ?

I have several ideas, please feel free to give me your opinion:

1. I could imagine to set a link similar how its done with  Commodore, but your websites mostly are in english language, i would prefer a german website for linking.

2. Is there a german speaking author among you, who would like to set up a section for CPC in 8bit-wiki.de? If yes of course i would support.
For establish a section for CPC , we need cpc diagrams, an article about the history (german), photos of the different mainbords, and if possible,  some link to emulators, software if free of license, and ROM images.

3. I have not found a hint of your "structure", is there a person or community that could decide whether i am allowed to take material from your cpcwiki.eu and set up that area myself? I would need a clear mail with your permission to use diagrams, ROM Images, something like that.

4.  Maybe someone in your community could spare a CPC for lets say 6 months, (renting?leasing)  and send this CPC to me. I would need to open the case, examine the computer hardware and take ROM Image. I dont know the english word but i would send money for effort and some reserve if the cpc gets defect by my fault. I could buy some by ebay, but i would need support of that user.
After i have learned the  basics of CPC i will send it back to the user, and set up a cpc area in 8bit-wiki myself.

I would love to hear your opinions and suggestions,

kind regards,
dieter

Its dhucke again, sorry i had a writing mistake in my post before:

Quote"We have a german internet website called 8-Bit-WIKI , it is dedicated to 8 Bit HomeComputers. We have Amstrad CPC already, and the Spectrum +2A / 3,"

Correct is:

"We have a german internet website called 8-Bit-WIKI , it is dedicated to 8 Bit HomeComputers. We have Amstrad JOYCE already, and the Spectrum +2A / 3,"

Why? The CPC ROMs are already available as images. Otherwise there would be no CPC emulators.

Hello mate!

As far as the machines go, I don't think there's much left to discover, unless you got something specific in mind?

As far as content copying goes (I should really put a license in place some time...), feel free to copy whatever you want. Just add a link to the article's source and that's more than enough :)

Well, just look at Amibay or ebay. Cheap and easy!  :)
