Hi there!
I just purchased a CPC 464 with green screen monitor(!) via eBay; shipped from the UK to the USA. Before I go down the rabbit hole of trying to get ROMS working via disk/tape emulators, etc. I was wondering if anyone would recommend precautions to take or additional hardware to use before connecting it to a USA mains power supply (with standard international adapter)?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
PS: The attached image show the haul I got for $270US (about £200). Not sure if I got a bargain, but I'm absolutely delighted ;D

I have a pair of these Pyle step up/down converters (https://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PVTC120U/Step-Up-and-Down-100-Watt-Voltage-Converter-Transformer-with-USB-Charging-Port---AC-110220-Volts), and I love them. There are several models, depending on the maximum power rating they can provide:

They are not the cheapest converters around, but they provide enought power rating for a CRT monitor.
Also, although I don't believe this will be useful for you, since the input is configurable it is possible to play with the settings to fit one's needs (I set one to 240V input, and taking into account that the mains supply in Spain is 220V, I have ~100V on the output, which is perfect for Japanese computers).
Depending on where you are and whether you're in an apartment or a house, you may be able to do this trick (if you're up to messing with 220V circuits):

Watch his other videos and you'll see that he knows exactly what he's doing. He just likes to add a few high-voltage short circuits to his videos for entertainment purposes.
