Title: CPC Resources listing for YouTube video
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 09:34, 21 February 20
I'll be making a short video for my YT channel early next week which will list the major CPC information resources available in 2020. Unfortunately as hyperlinks are not allowed in YT videos this will take the form of a screen scroller directing (new) viewers to a listing below the video.

So far I've came up with the two main categories - CPC websites and CPC Youtube channels.

At the moment I'm looking at including the following sites/channels:

Websites

1. CPCWiki
2. CPCRULEZ
3. CPCPOWER
4. CPCGAMEREVIEWS
5. The Internet Archive

YT Channels

1. Gamehammer
2. Chinnyhill
3. Xyphoe

So what/who have I missed?
Or does anyone have any other ideas on this?

Cheers,

Peter

There is JBLeDaron on Twitch/Youtube who is doing really cool streams but it's French only and no subtitle...

Some streams he was playing a game and the authors of the game were in the chat. We discovered anecdotes, unknown stories  8)
I thought about the Sapiens stream episodes. Very interresting

Few years ago I created an Amstrad CPC demoscene timeline on Youtube

But I still require to add the productions of the last 2 years :) oops

Look for the links part of my left side menu on my web site, maybe linking to some emulators (same menu but above the links).
Well seems I will have to add tonight the link to the CPCEC emulator by CNGSoft.

I have CPC content on my website and Youtube!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ-CL_7pTjY&list=PLp_QNRIYljFp4RpVvsRWPGBV2CRJH2oyf&index=1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ-CL_7pTjY&list=PLp_QNRIYljFp4RpVvsRWPGBV2CRJH2oyf&index=1)

I'm also doing some cpc programming livestreams on my 'ChibiAkumas Live' channel:

and I plan to do some gaming on CPC hardware at some point.

If you feel they are appropriate for your video, I'd appreciate the mention!

Thank you all for the replies so far.

Looks like I'll be increasing the categories listed by adding demos and programming - any sites or channels for hardware?

Cheers,

Peter

Here are some more YouTube channels for you:

4. Novabug (https://www.youtube.com/user/Novabug)
5. jgonza (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC45LhxcTY0xoxuYG5hDEFWg)
6. Metr81 (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNI6szqCzqIvs8tAmc221KA) (it hasn't been updated in nearly 2 years, though)

The (un) finished product

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vcem0E97woA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vcem0E97woA)

This one will be a slow burn - maybe a few views per month but it should still be still on YT when (hopefully decades from now!) I've passed on to the great Z80 in the sky.

Now what or who have I missed?
Any suggestions for improvements?

Cheers,

Peter

Not emulated - original hardware and software.

Please note that the aspect ratio for this YouTube video is 16:9 but the CPC monitor
has an aspect ratio of 4:3 so you may wish to adjust your viewing device accordingly.
