Title: GIFs of gameplay footage
Post by: ervin on 11:09, 28 July 17
Hi folks.

I've seen a few examples of GIFs used to show short clips of gameplay, demos etc.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how I might create GIFs of CPC game footage?

Thanks!

You can do it with ffmpeg

Here's how I made mine:
1. Capture with Winape to lossless avi
2. crop and trim Avi with Virtualdub -> export to imagesequence
3. Combine images into animaged gif with Photoscape
4. Optimize Gif with Gimp (to reduce filesize)

a lot of stages, I know, but that's the only way I could figure out to get it working...

Late to party but I do this for Twitter all the time. I have capture files from my CPC's (or other machines), play back the footage and use Gipny Capture to grab the bits I need. Very simple and hassle free.
