Post by: Devlin on 19:19, 09 April 14
Heartbleed Bug (http://heartbleed.com/)

This hit the internet a couple days ago, whoever owns the CPCWiki server should probably get this fixed ASAP.

been using a chrome extension to warn me about sites that are affected by it, and it goes nuts when i come here.

The fix involves not only upgrading OpenSSL, but getting re-issued SSL certificates.

And then everyone registered changing their passwords to be on the safe side.

To tell you the truth, I don't recall ever using a forum that uses SSL, and this includes CPCWiki :D

It'll be used as part of the login system probably.

Never hurts to check it out and get it patched if it needs it though.

No, no SSL used. You won't see any https around here (I actually looked into it, it's a very long, convoluted procedure).
