Title: Hello!
Post by: Typhon on 19:24, 05 June 23
Hello!

Another old fart here reporting in. Ulsterman living in Dorsetshire. Owned a CPC464 back in the day (Christmas 1988 onwards!).

Its that's blessed long boi's fault I've been a programmer for most of my adult life. Though these days, I'm stuck in the purgatory of PHP/JS development as a career.

Picked up 2x464s recently, and I'm slowly refurbishing them as its time I had a proper shade of Red (#FF0000) in my life, and whilst Z80 assembler may have defeated me when I was 14, yeah, these days its small beans really compared to some of the sh*te I've programmed in since.

I'm on various retro discords under the same name, and I have long term aims to get (back) up to speed on CPC development by porting games and type-ins and all that jazz over to the CPC.

I should point out I use Linux though I am not a Vegan.  ;D

Best,
T.

I'd love a 6128. It was the machine I never had. I have serious lust over it. One of the 464s I found came with a DD1/FD1 and a 64K expansion, but I've not done anything really to them due to the fact I lost my reading glasses and am waiting for SpecSavers to get my replacements in.

Take your time, maybe some day a 6128 will come to you from Ebay or somewhere. Sorry to hear about your glasses, hopefully you'll get back to well sight soon.  :)
