I've not had an Amstrad since i was in my early teens ; some 30 odd years ago.
I had a CPC464 with green screen which we bought from Retravision in Altona (Victoria, Australia) and had it for many years helping me with my schoolwork until in later years I got an Amiga.
I have very fond memories of dubbing cassettes at high speed to try and reduce the time it would take for them to 'copy' and trading games with friends from the UK.
I think the game I played the most was Boulderdash, Tau Ceti and 'Last V8'. The only thing I have remaining is my old Joystick from it.
Yesterday I bought a CPC6128 with 3.5" - soon to be reliving my youth when I'm not fixing Amigas.
Welcome!
Welcome! :)
Enjoy your nostalgic trip! Just a fair warning: It might never end!
New interesting stuff keeps coming out for the CPC. ;)
Welcome to the forum! I hope the CPC manages to attract you away from your Amigas!
I hope the 6128 works ok, and your old joystick is still usable!
Welcome...I'm also from Victoria. ;)
Cheers,
Shane
Welcome!
I'm from Adelaide, so I'm sort of close to Victoria!
In any case, nice to have more Aussies on here.
Tau Ceti - yes indeed, I used to play that game a lot.
A friend of mine owned the game back in the day, but didn't like it, so he let me borrow it.
I ended up having it for quite a long time, and played the heck out of it.
Great times.
Welcome and compliments for you new CPC :)
Welcome!
