Hello
I am a new user from the United States.
Ever since I was a kid, I have had an Amstrad CPC 464, which is where my computer experience began.
Now, I continue to maintain the hobby and have been expanding my collection of software and hardware for this system.
Marcus
Welcome!
Hey there!
Welcome mate!

Welcome, and have fun!
Out of curiosity, did you grow up in the US with a CPC, or did you move there at some point?
From time to time, I buy Amstrad CPC-related books from the US (which I'm very happy about, as it helps reduce shipping costs to Canada! 😊). This suggests to me that there was a small market there, with a few machines sold.
Hello :) Being an American Amstrad 464 owner must have been quite unique, was software easy to find?
Hello and Welcome! I lived several years in NOLA, you can contact LambdaMikel. He's in the states too. :) :) :)
I'm curious what State you're from, and how many friends you had there who also had CPC? :)
It's funny how many times you see people creating an user in a forum and never writing any message on it, or introducing themselves and never saying anything else.
This user, "klimenty", created this topic on November 5 (a month and a half ago) and only was active 1 hour more. He has been inactive since.
Based on his name, at least one of his parents is probably from Eastern Europe, which may explain him having the CPC while living on the states.
Or who knows, maybe he was one of the 500 people who bought the machine in the US (I don't have the numbers).
In any case, it's very likely we will never know, as he's clearly busy with other stuff or even forgot about CPC Wiki. Fingers crossed he comes back to say hi and answers some questions in Christmas.
Welcome!

Eh, it is what it is... Some prefer lurking, some never find the time, some lose interest.
