Title: Hello Everyone I was looking for a C4CPC
Post by: The boy on 14:17, 07 December 23
Hello Everyone. I collect video games consoles and was wondering where can I buy the C4CPC? Also is there a instruction manual that can help with the operation? I live in the United States. I already have a step down converter that I use on my Amgia CD32. I still have to get a SCART to component converter. I also have a PAL to NTSC converter that uses composite so I don't really know how that is going to work with everything. I also read some where that you have to get a different power supply because the C4CPC can fry the stock power supply on console. Is it possible to send a link to purchase on of those? Is there anything else I should know about the console that could stop me from bricking it? All these little hurdles have kept me away from purchasing an Amstrad GX4000, but I'm starting to run out of retro consoles to buy. I always wanted to add one to my collection. Thank you all for reading and have a great rest of your day!

@gerald used to produce them, but they're no longer in production for the foreseeable future from what I understand.

It belongs on what you are able to pay. The last ones were sold for more than 400€...

Thank you guys for the quick response. That's quite a lot lol. I'll check eBay for listings every once and awhile then I guess. I saw a gx4000 on eBay that comes with burnin rubber, klax and a tennis game maybe ill try and collect all the games. I'm sure there are a couple that are ridiculous prices. Thanks again guys.

Just stumbled across this:
https://store.backbit.io/product/backbit-pro/

Maybe that might be an option? Anyone familiar with this product? Sorry if this isn't allowed.

I was about to mention that one. It's a more available option, though I believe it requires some kind of internal modification of the console (presumably ACID related) so a lot less desirable than a C4CPC

There is another option too, here in the forum. You can put a cartridge into an EPROM programmer and just flash what you want.

It works great!

If I am not mistaken, it's the reset line. I guess the logic on the cartridge initiates a reset when a game is loaded.

Lots of people are waiting for a C4CPC or equivalent. I want one for my GX as well. Sooner or later somebody's bound to figure out something though.
