Title: Hi from Worcestershire
Post by: Vela025 on 11:05, 23 November 24
Hi,
I've recently acquired a NC100 with a 256kb card and after some keyboard trace repairs it's working great. I wasn't part of the CPC club as a child having had a BBC Master up until around 1993, however after that I had an Amstrad 2386PC until I eventually "upgraded" to an Athlon XP machine may years later. Unfortunately we sold the Amstrad.
Up until a few months ago I was running a BBS from my BBC M128 but have now moved this over to a RPi running a version of synchronet I've adapted to display Acorn Mode 7 (teletext) graphics via terminal. I now use my NC100 connected via serial to the RPI as the BBS monitor.
I'm looking to find out more about the control codes the NC100 uses in serial communication so will now head on over to the NC100 part of the forum.
Take care,
Ed

Haha! There's a Worcestershire sauce with chilli?! I'm sure Elgar is spinning in his grave coming second fiddle to a condiment!

If you visit http://beebs.ddns.net it has all the connection info, but if you're familiar with BBSs then it's BeeBS.ddns.net:6502. If you're connecting from an NC100 so far I've only done the main level 1 menu structure in nc100 friendly versions (although I've still not quite cracked the mystery of it switching between bold and normal!).
Take care,
Ed
