Title: Hi there fellow CPC Enthusiasts
Post by: porkchop on 09:34, 30 September 16
Just saying Hi on the forum for my first post.
The Amstrad CPC will always be a special system for me being my first computer as a kid. Grew up with the CPC 464 and green screen monitor, later got the TV Modulator to and added an external floppy drive, eventually got the CPC 6128 with colour monitor which I thought was the bees knees at the time.  :)
Just got myself a GX4000 to have a mess with, looking forward to exploring the forums and learning some new tricks for the CPC.

Which part of the world are you from?

U.K. England, Birmingham to be precise.

I think I was the only kid with an Amstrad CPC at school, everyone else had Speccys or C64s, I had to fight hard to make sure everyone knew the Amstrad was the superior system.  :D

Adelaide, South Australia here.
8)

When I was in school, I had 4 friends with CPCs(!).
(God, that was a long time ago)...
A couple of friends had C64s, but I've never used a real spectrum.

How do.
Be sure not to use the amstrad plug that came with the gx4000 or you're gonna have a bad time.
