Hi
What fascinating story!
Like most people on here, I also grew up with the CPC (464 with disk drive)... I spent a lot of my time trying to write my own games on it in basic... I moved on later to the Amstrad 1512
Did you ever try any programming on the CPC back in the day?
Oh, and if you think running a ZX emulator on the ST is weird... I recently ran a CPC simulator on the Enterprise 128! (another z80 machine)
Have fun on the forum!
Oh much with it.
Great story,
Thanks!
In my usual, about-a-month-late-if-that, way, welcome and thanks for sharing your story :)
For me Wales signified the beginning of my retro collection since I started buying old machines ca 2002, when I was studying at Cardiff. The first one I got was a 464 and the smell of it alone brought back so many memories I was almost sleeping with it...
Hello and welcome to the group! It's good to see another text adventure fan here; especially one who enjoyed coding them. :)
You're in good company here, I think we all remember those lovely Christmases/birthdays/surprise presents when we first met our first Amstrad computer. That's a bond that's never broken, isn't it?
Anyway, welcome to the group. :)
Great short stories.
I'm looking forward to the expansion of them in 8-bit Memoirs issue #2. ;)
