Title: New demo (From Scratch by Vanity)
Post by: Alco on 22:43, 04 August 09
Vanity (http://vanitycrew.free.fr/) is a french Amstrad CPC demogroup created in 2007 by his two main members, Hicks & Beb.

From Scratch (http://vanitycrew.free.fr/From%20Scratch%20%28Vanity%29.zip) is their latest demo. (CRTC 1 only)

Hi

Yes very nice production.

Totally cool finish!

Weird, it works perfectly with Winape 2.0 alpha 17 w/ CRTC 1 with default settings.

Winape 2.0a17 (CRTC 1 & default settings) works without any issues.

I just get a black screen then... wait, I'll download again. Ah it works now.

Really lovely, I especially like the intro screen! Oh the colors!

Cool demo!
Sadly that JavaCPC / WebCPC cannot pass CRTC test (I don't know, how they detect it)

But it works as snapshot  ;D (First screen is a bit messy, but will work)

Big improvement in WebCPC's CRTC emulation!

The demo will now show the grey scroller and also the Tetris-effect transition between the about screen and the huge scroller!

If you don't want to watch the whole demo, open this emubox:

Thank you.
I know....
Has been fixed (I hope)

There's only a smaller GateArray-timing bug @ beginning. Hope that I can fix this, too

From Scratach is (for my taste) one of the very best demos ever made on the CPC. It will write history like Prodatrons Digital Orgasm and MadRams Ecole buissionaire. Its amazing to see such a perfect production in the year of 2009!!!
