Hey all.
Col from the UK here. Had a CPC464 with pretty much every peripheral when I was a kid, now decided to recapture my youth (it's not working) and get a few CPC's together.
So far... very very very dirty 464 with bad output (there's definitely going to be a post about that very soon) that came with a GT65 monitor. And just got home from picking up a very nice 6128, boxed, with manual and a 644 monitor, all in perfect working order (although I don;t have ANY disks yet to test it with (I do have a full set of drive belts though)).
So, I will need lots of help, I fully intend to fix what I can (I'm fairly nifty with a soldering iron) and learn a lot.
So, yup. Me.
Tada.
Haha . . . as for me still I find it hard to get over the fact that my very parents threw away my cpc 464 when cleaning up the old house and home and that without proper consultation . . . could it and should it be a grudge to be if only slightly held forever I am not sure even though I am sure I could be playing wonder boy or bombjack or even tomahawk this very evening :)
anyway sorry such a general cpc topic or post always tends to get me to the point of some sort of rambling ;)
Welcome to the forum!
Good to hear you're getting back into the CPC, and it sounds like you've already got a couple of machines to get you started!
Not having any disks isn't necessarily a problem as I think most users use SD cards these days... the M4 wifi card also emulates a disk drive, and you can connect a HxC disk emulator to the 6128 pretty easily!
Anyway, whatever you do, enjoy the cpc's!
