Hi. I bought a 664 (the last cpc to complete my collection) on ebay, it is missing the membrane and I bought one for it.
The membrane came intact, I put it on quite carefully (I have previously put some on 6128 and 464) but the space bar was not working. I removed it to put it back in case it was inserted incorrectly and the membrane connector has been damaged and now many keys don't work.
Membranes for 664 are difficult to find. What could have happened? How can I fix it? Can be it repaired with conductive ink?
Thank you
I have bought a new replacement membrane but got the same problem... When plugged better to never unplug it! :-\
You can try to use a silver conductive pen to fix the tracks.
And to clean the membrane connector?
Ethyl alcohol?
I don't know... By the way, it looks that 664 membrane replicate are back in stock:

But... Don't forget that you will have the same issue if you unplug it.
Sadly the membrane for the 6128 is nowhere to find. :(

Have you ever had a 6128 membrane fail?

Yes, therefore I do search one.
Fortunately, it is not hard to find a 6128 keyboard. ;)

Right, but I don't want to cannibalize one. And today they're getting expensive.
